Since we typically spend Thanksgiving with John's siblings and their families, I haven't cooked a traditional Thanksgiving dinner since....ever? 2001 when we were first married and lived in Lenexa? Regardless, it's been awhile but we did it! This year it was also John's birthday on Thanksgiving Day. So we had cupcakes for breakfast and pecan pie for lunch. I made the turkey in the Instant Pot so we didn't have an oven backlog. Everything turned out delicious. We even had a green bean casserole because our neighbor dropped off a dish for us! And then the next night the guys made prime rib and baked potatoes for an even better meal!
