We spent the day running errands throughout the suburbs - including a trip to Target to get Will three fun new toys: a big red ball, an inflatable baby pool, and a Schwinn bike trailer (and toddler bike helmet)!
Our neighbor hood is full of ducks this mating season. Here's a picture of two males in hot pursuit of a female as they pass through our yard.
Today is our 9 year wedding anniversary! We've had tons of adventures together, and the years have gone by so very fast!
If you've been watching the "What's for Dinner?" sidebar for the past month, you know that Will likes baked beans. We were having a particularly challenging (read: tired, screaming baby) drive home from KC, so we knew we had to get out of the car for lunch and to stretch our legs. I chose KFC so Will could have some grilled chicken and baked beans. As you can see, he enjoyed them!
Will brushes his teeth every night while he's in the bathtub. He lets me know that he's finished by sticking the toothbrush into the bath water! Look at those beautiful eyelashes! He gets those from his daddy. Unfortunately, mommy isn't so blessed.
Another great birthday present from Grandpa E & Grandma H was the Leap Frog Fridge Farm. This gift was big entertainment on our drive back from KC (as was the Elmo phone), and it's a daily play as he helps us in the kitchen. He seems to know the farm is the new toy and the car wash version we've had up for 4 months is being ignored; although he does like to carry those pieces throughout the house to hide in other toys.
And so dapper - and he sure knows how to charm an audience! The teachers and parents at daycare always tell us how much they love him. Yesterday we went to the mall to have his picture taken, and a family of four little kids waiting to check out swarmed him. He took it all in stride. When he wanted to move on, he walked off, and they all followed behind him. He toddled around and giggled and made all the adults ooh and ahh, as well. Unfortunately he used up his full quota of cooperativeness in the waiting room!
And so onery. He's learned how to run away from us. And he's getting really good at teasing Rachel. But he's so clever. Twice today he walked off so I pretended not to know where he was (although I could hear him). I said, "We're Will?!" and he came up behind me and tapped me on the back! He knows how to use humor (often involving food and/or the dog), and knows when he's being funny. 
And such a sweet little boy - who is heartbroken when he wants his Mama and she doesn't pick him up immediately.
