21 Months Old

February is a tough month to remember to update since there is no "29th" most years. Just a quick update of all things Will this past month:
  • Sick, so many days. Will was home more than two weeks in the short month of February. We had the two snow days to start the month and then his RSV/pneumonia bout. That absorbed 9 more school days between our keeping him home, his hospital stay, and then getting sent back home again when he had another fever spike.
  • Talking. When he was feeling well, he was busy repeating all of the words we said. Lots of words came out plainly the first time (i.e. apple) and now he uses them regularly. Other ones we have to really pull out of him even though we know he can say it (i.e. please).
  • Helping. This kid loves to clean and organize and help out! Hooray! He's great at putting his toys back in the baskets or the crayons back in the bowl. He loves to feed Rachel and to put things in the trash can. We've recently started pulling up a chair for him at the kitchen island.

A few of his favorites:

  • Colors: purple and yellow
  • Quiet activities: reading stories and watching TV
  • Book: The Jolly Barnyard and Llama Llama Red Pajama
  • TV show: sports being played; keep those commercials and timeouts to a minimum
  • Food: likes most things except vegetables
